FORMA 2 in this project provided full expertise for the design and changes to the design, performing a design expertise for such a large production facility for the first time. The new modern biscuits plant is being built in Adazi, next to the new “Laima” factory. It specializes only in the production of biscuits and waffles and will be the largest production of this kind in the Baltic States and Scandinavia.

In addition to construction, substantial investments will follow in new equipment and production lines, creating the largest investments in Latvian food industry in recent years, which will also create around 250 new workplaces. In total, around 75% of the products produced at the “Orkla Biscuit Production“ facility will be exported. The new factory is scheduled to begin operations in 2022.
